Here's a cliff notes description from Gooding & Co. My guess is that it will fetch well north of the estimated $150K.

The Porsche 911 presented here owes its exceptional specification and distinctive appearance to its current owner – Los Angeles based Porsche enthusiast Magnus Walker. A prominent figure in the Porsche community, Walker maintains an impressive stable of 911s – ranging from a rare 1964 model to early 930s – each car bearing his unmistakable imprimatur. Following in the tradition of Southern California hot rod builders, Walker creates highly individualized cars that, while immediately retaining the appearance of a classic 911, abound in personalized details and the finest high-performance components.
This car, dubbed the 911 “STR II,” was originally constructed as a Gemini Blue 1972 911 T. Discovered in Sacramento, this Porsche was an ideal candidate for restoration and was selected for its one-year-only external oil filler, rugged Type 915 gearbox, and potent 2.4-liter engine.
Inspired by 911 race cars of the early 1970s, the “STR II” is a brilliant amalgam of Porsche’s famed ST and R models that combines early short-wheelbase details with Walker’s preferred custom touches.
Described by Walker as the car “I’m most proud of and definitely my best build to date,” the recently completed “STR II” has garnered widespread acclaim, from Porsche aficionados and high-profile collectors alike. Perhaps the greatest testament to this car’s appeal is the fact that it was selected to appear on the cover of Road & Track in June 2013 as part of a special issue celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911. Beyond this impressive feature, Walker’s “STR II” was the subject of a featured article in Total 911: The Porsche Magazine titled, “The New Legend,” and it has been showcased on Fifth Gear, Adam Carolla’s CarCast, and Jay Leno’s Garage.
Offered from Magnus Walker’s collection, the “STR II” represents an exciting opportunity for the collector in search of a unique and much-admired variation on the classic Porsche 911.

Happy Bidding!
